（3）年齡：如果年輕運動量大就要選擇靈活功能性較大耐用性較高的義肢；老年人運動量少則要選擇安全性高行走時較為穩定，重心平衡較夠的義肢。（如德林膝下萬象型義肢，適合老年人和糖尿病患者設計之義肢）。
（4）運動量：如果需要從事體力勞動就要選擇受命長的耐用型產品；喜歡運動經常在不平整路面行走的就需要選擇多功能足踝．．五連槓膝關節．．等等。
（5）經濟狀況：根據自己的經濟狀況決定應該安裝什麼樣價位的義肢，然後在合適的產品中選擇，價格高功能多的義肢不見得是符合您的義肢，不要迷信名牌，有些號稱某某牌義肢，動輒三、四十萬，二、三年就得更換一次，真的很傷財,合適的義肢健保給付免費的就嚇嚇叫了。
最後建議截肢朋友選擇技術雄厚、信譽高、售後服務好的廠家裝配義肢。
